I stopped by Lake Springfield during the early morning. It is an excellent time and location to see flocks of ducks splashing about and noisely chatting amongst themselves. On the morning I visited, portions of the lake were still frozen over and a few of the ducks took the opportunity to skid, slide, and skate on it as if they were in the winter Olympics. It was a delight to sit outside in the crisp air, watch the sunrise, and let the ducks entertain.

Never forget yesterday, But always live for today. You never know what tomorrow can bring, Or what it can take away. Along with photography I enjoy sharing quotes and writing poetry, therefore, many of my posts will include thought provoking and creative words to go along with my photos.   This sunrise photo was taken from a farm road between Rogersville and Springfield. The texture and color of the clouds were magnificent as they spread across the sky. I felt as though I was chasing the sunrise as I hunted for a good location to capture the view. The colors of a sunrise can quickly dissipate as the sun climbs higher in the sky, so if unprepared the opportunity may be easily missed.
